While I am in my studio, a system captures an image of the studio space at regular intervals. The image is encoded as an Slow Scan Television (SSTV) signal and broadcasted as sound through speakers in the room. A microphone positioned elsewhere in the studio recieves the signal, which is decoded back into an image. In doing so I create a representation of my studio space that combines information about the visual and acoustic properties of the space at the time of the transmission. The most recent image generated by this system is automatically displayed on this page allowing viewers to see my own self-transmissions.
